Our visit to Tehran in 1968. We got the 'phone call on Wednesday from our agent, and flew to Tehran on Sunday morning October 26th 1968. I was 22. One night we played for the Shah at a private party at a ski lodge in the mountains; it was all quite an incredible adventure. The guy outside the hotel by the white car at the end of the film is called Mahmoud Ghorbani who was married to a singer called Googoosh. Mahmoud's brother was the owner of the Miami Hotel.
